The CO-OP action brawler set in the DC world and developed by WB Montreal will only launch on PS5, XBOX SX, AND PC.
So far we have seen only cross – gen releases in all the third – party titles due to the console shortages from the past year. Maybe it’s time to things come back normal at least till the end of the year.
But why Warner Bros cancelled their cross gen release deal?
There is still no proper explanation at the time of writing but the best lead I got is from a press note that was published for the gameplay reveal of red hood and Nightwing.
"Please note, to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience, the game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC and will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles."
In case you need to catch up, Gotham Knights revolve around the Batman family as you step into the role of either Batgirl, Nightwing, red hood, or Robin – a new hope of Justice who must rise up as the protectors of Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s mysterious death.
The game can be played in two-player co-op where you will come across the mysterious Court of Owls, alongside street thugs, criminals and more.
The game is currently slated to release on October 25th 2022 on PS5, XBOX SX and PC.
