Elden Ring is the current gaming beast right now , with it’s related news and content flooding all over social medias even in it’s 3 week anniversary .
So it is safe to say that It’s been doing incredibly well, and FromSoftware has just announced that the game has sold 12 million copies in the three weeks since its release. which is huge not only for the gaming community but to FromSoftware themselves, to put out in context Dark Souls 2 crossed its 10 million mark only after Dark Souls 3 had been released, so 12 million copies sold in 3 weeks (that too a souls game) is staggering and the RPG element is one of the main reason for its success and its critical acclaim.
What’s next?
In a press release published by From Software, we learn that the studio plans to expand on Elden Ring as an IP and produce more work related to the game “in hopes of expanding beyond the realm of games”. In laymen terms they’re gonna milk it so hard but in a good way .
As most of us know there is still a lot of lore to be discovered and has the potential for a standalone sequel , but the ball’s in From’s side and I’m sure they’ll play it excellently
